I wanted to try loosen-up my illustration methods by exclusively relying on rough brushes — specifically, David Revoy’s “Hard Painting” brushes. Turns out the experiment failed, as I’ve failed to loosen up. Though I’ll continue to try painting more with these brushes in different ways and processes, so let’s see where this takes me.
Regarding the illustration: Many scenes in Steins;Gate, even upon rewatching, always hit me hard. The scene this painting refers to is no exception. I want to paint more like this.
